This year the school is planning to introduce 3 new programmes at Bachelors level with the intention to address gaps present in the key skills required in architectural practice and construction industry.
The new programmes are:
Bachelor of Planning
Bachelor of Planning in Sustainable Planning
Bachelor of Science in Building Projects
The duration of planning programmes is 4 years and the Bachelor of Science programme is for 3 years.
Currently, the school along with its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is also running the summer/ winter school programmes for students. It conducts workshops to educate school-goers about architecture and planning.
SSAA has strong association with institutions such as the American Institute of Indian Studies(AIIS), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), Council of Tall Buildings and Urban habitat (CTBUH) and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) to facilitate exchange of resources and expertise.
This year, with the growth in number of students and programmes, the School moved to a new building with state-of-the-art studios and workshops spread across a built-up area of over 8000 square meters. The new building also houses a spacious 415 square meter library equipped with an online database of books, references, national & international periodicals and journals. It is rich in resources relevant to all the courses being offered at the School. The new block is an environment-friendly modern building with world class spaces
