rkMr. R.K Bhandari, Dean


An alumni of IHM, Lucknow and All India Management Association, New Delhi is having specialization in Hospitality Management and Human Resource Management. He achieved certificate of appreciation from American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AH & LA) USA for Training and Education in the field of Managing Hospitality Human Resources, Hospitality Supervision and Food and Beverage Service. He is having rich and varied experience of thirty years in Hospitality Operations, Academics and Conducting Training Programs towards enhancing organizational effectiveness, productivity and building committed teams.

He is having extensive experience in Designing of Curriculum, organizing Seminar/ Conferences of National and International level on current and relevant topics related to industry with fabulous response and appreciation from Industry and Associations in India and abroad.

He was Founder Editor of “Indian Journal of Applied Hospitality and Tourism Research” and President of Annual India International Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism Research Conference, till February 2016.

In recognition to his contribution to the academics Nation Care News Paper and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Samaj Kalyan Trust conferred “Shikshamitra Samman” in April 2009. He was also Conferred with “Shikshawid Samman” for 2010 by All India Swatantra Lekhak  Manch in November 2010.

Quality endeavors initiated by Him in the past have shown remarkable outcome by the Institution under Him including Accreditation by NAAC (An autonomous body under UGC), International Certification by ISO 9001:2008, A+ Grading of the College & taking College under Him among the Top Ten Best Hotel Management Colleges of the Country successively for the past Seven Years by the Outlook MDRA Survey of the Best Professional Colleges of the Country. Also efforts for International Cooperation and signing of MOU amongst the Best Institutions of the repute across the Globe was His remarkable Quality Initiatives taken for the Growth and Development of the Hospitality Education beside associating the Institution with Hotels and  Industry Associations.

Laurent Guiraud is a French restaurateur and an International hospitality consultant. Born in Paris, he belongs to a country where cuisine is an art and hospitality is a culture. His career involves a rich experience of owning and running restaurants from the world-renowned and exclusive Michelin star-rating in Pays Basque, France to gourmet cuisine restaurants in New Delhi India.

Laurent Guiraud is widely regarded in the industry and the media as a hospitality entrepreneur par excellence. His knowledge and expertise of cuisine and hospitality was put to the test in India, where he continues to work and consult. His work in India is most notable in the launch of Manre Restaurant with Ramola Bachchan, and in development of the Olive Restaurant Group in India.
Laurent has the pulse of the international hospitality market. His formidable experience within the international culinary and hospitality landscape made him the perfect choice for the prestigious role of Director of Vatel Programme at Ansal University. He is representing VATEL India is here on deputation at the well-established Hotel Management department at Ansal University Gurgaon, India.

He facilitates the implementation of the Vatel’s curriculum tested in over 31 schools including Paris, Lyon, Brussels, Madrid, Bangkok, Vietnam and Morocco to name a few. He manages the transfer of “know-how” to the Hotel Management faculty as a certified Vatel trainer and to students directly through workshops and classes on campus. His inputs enhance the practical and hands-on learning for the students in class.

  • Prior to joining Ansal University, Amreesh was working as the faculty and Program Leader- Hospitality and Tourism at Amity University, Dubai Campus. He has also worked with Bin Haider Hospitality Group, UAE as Group Learning and Development Manager and, was responsible for professional development of employees in three Hotels operating under Bin Haider Hospitality banner in the United Arab Emirates. Amreesh has rich experience of hotel industry and has been associated with prominent hotel chains like Hilton, Accor, Oberoi to name a few, at various levels in Hotel Operations and Learning & Development.
  • Amreesh is currently pursuing his Doctorate from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan and has earned Masters, in Tourism Management, from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India, in 2003. He completed his Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management, Jaipur, India. He has also earned a Diploma in Training and Development from Indian Society of Training and Development and holds P G Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relations from Annamalai University, India.

subirMr. Subir Kumar Malakar(Assistant Professor and Chef Trainer)


A Graduate in Hospitality and Tourism and three years in Hotel Management from IHM Bhopal (National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pusa, New Delhi). Mr. Malakar holds more than 20 years of experience in the profession (Six years in Academics and 14 years in Industry). He has a very diverse industry background which includes 5 Star Hotels (Hotel Clarks Shiraz and Rajvillas, an Oberoi Hotel), Luxury Cruise Liners (Celebrity cruises based in Florida USA), Oil Rigs (Noble ed Noble-Exxon Mobil- USA), Industrial Catering (Elf Camp and Eleme Petrochemical- West Africa), Institutional catering, and Fine Dining Restaurant (Jack Tertle Muskaka Grills- Canada). He has a specialization in continental cooking (Hot and cold), Thermacol Cutting, Vegetable and Wax Carving. Apart from academic and industry qualified chef he has advance fire fighting training and certification and Advance certification in deep water survival course. Other achievements includes best employee award (twice) in cruise liner and first prize winner in vegetable carving in inter-college carving competition (1995)

He is a very dynamic and competent professional in culinary arts, working as Assistant Professor and also holds the responsibility as course coordinator, Member-Board of Studies, Mentor, and Ansal University coordinator for IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) Academy.

savitaMs. Savita Sharma (Assistant Professor, Warden Girls’ Hostel)


A postgraduate in Tourism Management and graduate in Hospitality & Hotel Administration from IHM Lucknow (National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Pusa, New Delhi). Ms. Sharma is currently pursuing Ph.D. in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and holds more than 12 years of experience. She is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) from American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and she specializes in Rooms Division Management.
She has authored about 05 books for different universities. She has participated in a numbers of FDPs to keep herself updated and presented papers at National and International seminars and conferences. She has proposed syllabus for various universities at graduate level and short term programs. Prior to this organization, she was igniting the young brains of IHM, Mumbai. She has been awarded as “Best Groomed Trainee” during the industrial training at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi (2002). She stood first in Quiz Competition at National Level organized by All India Radio (1998) and also positioned first in Table Tennis at National Level organized by K.V. Sangathan (1997). She is a very dynamic and competent professional working as Assistant Professor and also holds the responsibility of Girls’ hostel as Warden.

tanviMs. Tanvi Beniwal(Assistant Professor)


An alumnus of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHM, Chandigarh) and has worked with some most renowned academic organizations like Jamia Millia Islamia University, Panjab University and Kurukshetra University. She holds a degree in Hospitality Administration, master’s degree in hotel management and was awarded a gold medal. Tanvi is currently pursuing a PhD in Customer Relationship Management Practices in Hotel Industry from Kurukshetra University. She is an avid researcher and has published 13 research papers in leading national and international journals. She has also presented several papers at various national and international conferences.
She possesses good organizational skills and successfully organized big events like World Tourism Day and Theme Lunch during her stint at Panjab University. With the help of real world examples, Tanvi is enthusiastic about sharing her diverse learnings and knowledge with new aspirants on the threshold of promising careers.

An alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHM Pusa) and has worked with some most renowned academic organizations like DIHM,Lajpat Nagar and IHM Hajipur. She holds a first class with distinction degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology & Master’s degree in Hospitality Administration. Nidhi is currently pursuing PhD in Tourists perception & Expectations in Hotel Industry from Amity University, Noida as well as Master Degree in Tourism Management. She had also undertaken her training from The Ashoka, New Delhi & Taj Lake Palace in all the core departments of the hotel such as Food & Beverage and Palace Service. She had exposure with The Taj Palace, New Delhi in Human Resource Department. Some of the reputed organisations he has worked in past include The Grand New Delhi, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, Air India and Lovely Professional University. He cleared the UGC-NET for Lecturership in 2013. Besides his contribution in research and academics he has rendered his services in various capacities such as External Examiner, Curriculum Developer and Practical Examinations’ Evaluator. He is a highly motivated, dynamic and single-minded academician with a natural flair for connecting with young minds. Having completed his BHMCT from BCIHMCT, New Delhi (Affiliated to I.P. University, New Delhi) in 2006, followed by Master’s in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ambedkar University, Agra, Sunil Kumar has had hands-on experience in the Hotels and also of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Sector. During his education period, Sunil Kumar has undergone Internship in Hotel Operations and Management at the Hotel Imperial, New Delhi & The Radisson Mahipalpur, New Delhi followed by Management Training at The Intercontinental Eros, New Delhi.

He is a qualified Chocolatier and a Baker & Confectioner running a successful business in the field of Chocolate Making, Sugar Confectionery, Innovations in the field of Baking and Training. Sunil Kumar rendered his professional services as an Assistant Professor at Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology for 5 years teaching subjects like Bakery & Confectionery Management, Human Resource Management, Personality Development & Communication skills, Travel & Tourism management and was also the Examination Coordinator for the Institute for 3 years. Sunil actively participated in the Culinary Events like that of ICF, AAHAR, and Franchise India and his innovations & presentations in the field of Culinary Skills were well appreciated by the Target Audience. Sunil Kumar had also taken up the role of The Training Manager with the Tivoli Group, New Delhi on a three months contractual basis during which he conducted various MDPs’ as well as On the Job Training sessions. As part of social responsibility, conducted free English language classes in a Government run school and imparted free private tuitions to the underprivileged students.
