We have distinguished faculty in the School of Management who are academicians and past industry professionals. It is their endeavor to use all useful tools to help the students improve their leadership, analytical and management abilities. They offer leadership and management training that helps students to be a stronger, more confident manager in today’s continuously evolving workplace and make use of case studies, group discussions and presentations to resolve critical issues. Our faculty goes all out to utilize technology, media and modern aids during the classroom sessions, making sure that students become savvy in their presentation and communication skills.
A veteran of Accounting, Dr. Malhotra is a very dynamic and highly proficient professional with Ph.D. in commerce from MDU, Rohtak, India and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), NJ, USA. She has over 22 years of valuable experience in Education & Food industry including teaching at very prestigious Universities of USA. She has 7 books and 22 research papers in her credit. She is associated with UGC EDUSAT program for higher learning and delivers live lectures on VYAS Channel of higher education. She has been scholarship holder throughout her graduation and has won a good number of ‘Certificates of Merit’ for outstanding performance in academics and other activities.
Dr. Malhotra has been invited as an International Scholar by Valparaiso University, Indiana, USA where she had taught for the full academic year 2014-15. She has also been invited by North Dakota State University (NDSU), North Dakota, USA in Fall 2009 where she had taught a full semester as visiting professor. She has presented 22 research papers at various platforms and also a good number of papers have been published in international and national refereed journals of repute. While in industry, she has taken over more than 30 projects locally and aboard and her clients include Cargil Foods, HAFED, PSWC, Kenya Miller of Kenya, K.L Duggal Group of Nepal and many more business houses of international repute.
At Ansal University, she has contributed a lot in the Institution building including a member of high delegation for seeking the accord of University from Govt. of Haryana . Currently, she is the officiating Dean of the School of Management Studies and had been Associate Dean of the school from 2013-2014. She is also the Program Director of MBA(Applied Finance) and Area Chair for ‘Accounting & Finance’. Dr. Malhotra has successfully organized four International/national conferences and many platform lectures. She had been faculty in charge for four consecutive years to organize weekly seminars in the Institute to ensure the academia-industry interface. She had been member in the ‘Academic Council’ of the Ansal University for two consecutive years. At present she is a nominee of the Vice Chancellor in the ‘Board of Studies’ for school of Management and also is a member of ‘Board of Management’ of the University. Dr. Malhotra has been extended a special appreciation in the year 2011 by the management of Ansal Institute of Technology, for exemplary conduct in performing her duties at the workplace.
She is member of IMA, Chicago chapter, USA and life member of AICA and MTC and moderator for AIMA and GGSIP University. She is in the advisory board of the Canadian Research Centre for Humanities & Science (CRCHS), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She holds a Vast Experience as program Director/coordinator for Ph.D/MBA/PGDBM/PGPREM/BBA and is a very dedicated person, who loves and admires nature and enjoys Yoga and Driving and believes in spirituality.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh has wide experience of over 30 years in improving, institutionalizing and sustaining the efforts of improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, Value Engineering and other cost reduction techniques. He has implemented these techniques in premium industries in India and abroad Viz. Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd. (Germany), Mahindra Forgings, Thomson Press Ltd. Etc.
Mr. Singh has conducted many MDP programs in Tata Management Development Centre (TMDC), Jamshedpur. He has worked in very senior positions in Tata Group, Mahindra Group and Hindustan Motors. He was visiting professor at Great Lake Management Institute Chennai, Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune and Jagannath Management Institute, New Delhi. His experience has contributed by coordinating savings of millions of rupees by implementing the above techniques in the organizations. Thereby, improving productivity many fold.
Dr. Puja Chhabra Sharma ( Professor )
Dr. Puja Chhabra Sharma is presently working as a Professor in School of Management Studies at Ansal University. She holds a dual Masters degree in Commerce from St John’s College, Agra and HRD Management (MHRDM) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai. Dr. Sharma has completed her Ph.D. in Quality Management. She has contributed research papers in journals of national & international repute and is pursuing her passion for research.
Prof. Sharma holds more than 22 years of experience of industry and academia to her credit. She joined AIT in March 2007 after 14 years of multifaceted experience as a pioneer woman commissioned officer in Logistics Branch of the Indian Navy. She has rich hands-on experience in Logistics, Material Management, Supply Chain Management, Personnel Management and is well versed in meeting mission critical requirements of crises management. She has been actively associated with launch of Ansal University in May 2012 and has worked as the Dean for School of International Studies.
Prof. Sharma was invited to Valparaiso University, Indiana State, USA as an international Scholar to teach a summer term in June 2009. She was also invited as guest professor to teach executive MBA program to University of Caxious da-Sul, Brazil in Jun 2011. Dr. Sharma was a key member of a high level delegation that represented Ansal Institute to twelve different collaborating universities in USA & Canada in September 2011.
A postgraduate in Statistics, MBA from FMS Udaipur and FDP in management from IIM Ahmedabad, Dr. Rahul has done his doctorate in International Business (Applied Economics Area) from Agra University.
He started his career with Telco in the year 1996 and thereafter sought career in academics. He has worked with Sharda Group, Amity Business School, Noida, and Institute of Management Studies, Dehradun, attended many national and International conferences and written books as core course material (For Internal Circulation). Dr. Rahul started a newsletter as an editor and has 10 publications in his credit.
His area of interest is General Management, International Business, Production and Operation Management and Quantitative Techniques for Management. His interest also lies in writing cases and case analysis.
Dr. Agarwal has done his Ph.D. (HNBGU – Central University) in Rural Marketing, M.Phil. (Mgt.), M.B.A., M.S.W. He is an avid researcher, prolific writer and an academician of repute. He has attended and presented research papers in National and International Conferences at leading Institutions and published more than dozen research papers and articles in peer-reviewed journals and magazines. His research interest areas include Innovation and Knowledge Management, Brand Management, Advertising, Sales & MIS, Services Marketing, Rural Marketing etc.
Dr Kirti Dutta has a rich experience of more than twenty-two years including eleven years of corporate experience. Dr Kirti is a prolific researcher and has a number of publications to her credit. She is working on many national and international projects in the domain of branding, communications and services marketing. She has co-authored more than 70 research papers published in national and international journals and conference proceedings apart from contributing chapters in a number of edited books. Her research-based textbook on “Services: Marketing, Operations and Management” (co-authored with Dr Vinnie Jauhari), was published by Oxford University Press (OUP) in 2009 and the second edition of the same was released in the year 2017. Her second book titled “Brand Management: Principles and Practices” was also published by the OUP in 2012. Her book on Integrated Marketing Communications with OUP, released in December 2016. She has also co-edited a book on Entrepreneurship Learning and Development for CEGR. Dr. Kirti is the editor of International Journal on Customer Relations. She has served a brief stint as Associate Editor – Journal of Services Research for which she is still reviewing papers. She is also on the review panel of a number of international journals like International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Technology marketing, Total Quality Management Journal (by Emerald) to name a few.
Sunanda Banerjee is a marketing professional with around 7 years of domestic and international corporate experience. She has done her PGDM from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research and an M.S. from University of Wales, London. She has worked with some of the biggest names in BFSI and Advertising including Dun & Bradstreet and Mullen Lowe Lintas & Partners, Mumbai as Business Development Director-India and SSP, UK in London. Consumer Insights, Brand Dynamics, Advertising, Communication and Client Relationship Management are her proficiency forte.
She has been a part time faculty at some prestigious institutes in Mumbai including ITM Navi Mumbai, IES Mumbai, NSHM University Durgapur to name a few. She has been an active member of various NGOs and cause driven organizations, working towards betterment of the lesser fortunate but those who deserve better life.
She has many published articles and has seminar papers on Retail, Brand management and Brand Communications in business magazines and forums, to her name. She has conducted Personality Development programmes and Training sessions for both academic institutions and corporates. She has been in an active blogger. She has been university level winner in quite a few events, year on year, including debate and speech competitions, dance competitions and hosting events. She is an active blogger and an avid reader. She has a knack for writing and solo traveling. Her sole purpose of being into academics is to contribute with honest intention and relatable knowledge for students that helps them beyond exams and make them corporate ready with knowledge that is critical and applicable.
B.A (Hons) Economics from Delhi University and M.A. (Economics) from Jamia Milia Isamlia University, Dr. Chowdhry is a Ph. D in Marketing. She has approximately 14 years of rich Industry experience having worked in Marketing and Research Divisions of a leading Export House, Infrastructure, and Hospitality organizations.Her last assignment was with Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad in Corporate Relations. Her interest areas include FMCG Marketing / Branding, Economics and International Trade.
Dr. Tania Shaw is an acclaimed academician and has done her Ph.D. in organizational behaviour with government scholarship after clearing UGC- JRF and NET both from ‘Institute of Management Studies’ of Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She has also done MBA (HRM), MSW (LWPM), PGJMC, DIP. TD from Indian Society for Training and Development and she is a Certified Transactional Analyst for foundation course after clearing (TA-101) from Training and Certification Council of Transactional Analyst Incorporation of America. She is also in the verge of completing her final year in LLB (H) Degree. She has been scholarship holder and has won a good number of ‘Certificates of Merit’ for outstanding performance in academics and other activities.
Dr. Tania has got 14 years of rich experience including both academics and industry and was associated with renowned organizations like ‘ICFAI Business School’, Chennai, ‘Prestige Institute of Management & Research’, Indore, ‘Eicher Motors Limited’ Pithampur, to name a few. Currently she is working as an Associate Professor with School of Management Studies, Ansal University, Gurgaon and is on Lien from an Institute of National Repute i.e. ‘Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management’ (IISWBM), Kolkata where she has served for last 7 years. Apart from that, she has been associated with several premier B- Schools of India as ‘Adjunct Faculty’ and ‘Visiting faculty’ and has delivered several ‘Special Lectures’ and ‘Guest Lectures’ in the Institutions of repute.
With flair of research, Dr. Tania has participated and presented research papers and cases in several National and International Conferences and published the same by Asian Case Clearance Workshops and Referred Indian Journals respectively. Her body of work in research also includes abstraction and reviewing of research papers and books, writing popular business articles etc. She has guided more than 100 dissertations of post graduate management students. Beside this, Dr. Tania is an empanelled Ph.D. Supervisor and Expert for conducting Ph.D. Viva with different acclaimed Central, State and Private Universities and currently four students are pursing Ph. D. under her guidance from different Universities across India.
Dr. Tania has also conducted Training Programmes and has been the Resource Person’s of several MDP’s organized for the executives of giant public sector organizations like ‘Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd’ as well as for Developing Marketing BDS for Shantiniketan Leather Sector Cluster, of ‘EDI Ahmadabad’, and has also contributed in the designing of a Business Plan for the financial year 2009- 2011 for ‘Descon’ (A BPO outfit of Dissergarh Power supply Corporation Limited) as a Consultancy Assignment. Dr. Tania is a life member of many reputed professional bodies like ‘Indian Society of Training and Development’ (ISTD) and ‘National HRD Network’ (NHRD) etc.
Currently, Dr. Tania has been imparted with responsibility of several important activities of Ansal University, Gurgaon. She is a nominated member of ‘Board of Studies’, Ph.D. Students ‘Examination Committee’ for reviewing Ph. D. progress work, ‘Syllabus Review Committee’, ‘Technical Committee’ for reviewing research papers for International Conference of 2015 etc of School of Management Studies of the University. Apart from that she is the coordinator of Accreditation, Ranking, External Media Interface and External Life Projects Interface.
A PhD from GGSIP University Delhi, a University Topper and Gold Medallist during Post-Graduation, a UGC-NET qualified professional, Dr. Sona Vikas has more than 18 years of experience in Industry and Academics. She has to her credit more than 60 research papers in International and National journals, edited books and conference proceedings. She is a Master Trainer for the ICP-CSR Certificate Programme (under IICA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India).
At Ansal University, she has donned many hats in the tenure of four plus years. She was the Head of Trainings & Placements, wherein she was responsible for creating internship and employment opportunities for engineering and management students. She headed the School of Management Studies, engaged in both academic and administrative roles as Asst. Dean for one year. Under her able leadership, SMS was able to launch its own International journal and newsletter; conduct National and International conferences and publish edited books; organize various guest lectures and seminars for students. She was responsible for conceptualization and implementation of Soft skills and TDL programmes across the University for all the students. Currently she is the Programme Director – MBA, Associate Dean – International Relations and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University. Leadership skills and pro-people skills are her forte. She is known for her pro-activeness, adeptness in multi-tasking, handling work under all kinds of pressure, her positivity and optimism.
With her Industry Experience in HR, Sales, MIS and Quality she brings in a lot of practical insights in the classroom. Her subjects of teaching interest include General Management, CSR, Ethics, HR, Marketing and Tourism. Student mentoring and conducting behavioural training programmes for both students and corporates is where her heart lies.
She is a Life Member of Indian Society of Training and Development (ISTD) and National HRD Network (NHRD).
She likes to travel, play chess, swimming, go for adventure sports particularly river rafting and mountaineering. She stays well connected with her students through various social media.
Dr. Tania Mengi is presently working as Assistant Professor in School of Management Studies, Ansal University. She is Ph.D in Finance, a University topper and Gold Medallist during Post Graduation, has qualified UGC JRF-NET and has over seven years of teaching experience.
Dr. Mengi has presented research papers in various National & International Conferences at leading Institutions. She has got a number of research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in organizing various seminars, conferences, fest and FDP’s. She also has the AMFI certification in Mutual Funds. Her areas of interest are Finance and Marketing and she teaches subjects such as Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Financial Management, Financial Derivatives, Marketing Management, Marketing of Services etc.
Dr. Meenu Shant Priya is currently working as an assistant professor in the school of management at Ansal University. She holds double postgraduate degree in Economics and Personnel Management from Purvancal University and Gujarat University respectively. She did her Ph.D. from Saradar Vallabhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT), an institute of National Importance. She has seven years of teaching experience in the areas of Economics, HR and General management. She has attended and presented research papers in many national Conferences. She has published research papers in international refereed journals listed in ABDC and indexed by SCOPUS. She is an editorial board member of many national and international Journals of repute. She is a recipient of National Merit Scholarship from the Ministry of HRD (MHRD), Govt. of India for securing excellent marks in Economics (Hons) while studying at Gujarat University. She was a part of core committee for syllabus review, revision and design for Economic Analysis for Business Decision and Lead faculty for training teachers of University of Pune for Economic Analysis for Business Decisions MBA, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her area of interest ranges from Public policy, green branding to geopolitical moments.
A competent professional with over 15 years of experience in academia , over one years enriching start up corporate experience, consulting, training and administrative assignments. Academic inputs include achievements like attaining university Gold medal for Hons. in Economics , moving on to Masters in Business Administration, UGC -NET qualified and a Ph.D on, ‘CRM resources & their impact on the Omni-channel retailers performance’, underway with the Aligarh Muslim University.
Experienced in academic delivery across various areas including Strategy , Marketing Specialisations , Economics and Research based functions to name a few.Authored online courseware on Business Research for a UK based university in partnership with Tata McGraw Publications.
Self- motivated & passionate about teaching to the core and with a decade and a half of immensely enjoyable and rewarding engagements with students to fall back upon, looking keenly on to equally and much more enthralling innings in academia for the years to come!!
A Post Graduate in Commerce & Management, Mr. Barwal is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from ICFAI. He has also cleared CAIIB and CA (Intermediate) examinations. Apart from this he has NCFM certifications in Depository Module, Derivatives and Equity.
He also has AMFI certification in Mutual Funds. With more than 13 years of experience in Industry and academics, Mr. Barwal has participated in a number of conferences & seminars. His areas of interests are Banking, Risk Management and Stock Analysis & Portfolio management
She has over 11 years of teaching experience and other than teaching she has been involved in guiding various research projects and grooming MBA students. She has also conducted various finance programmes for Corporates. She has presented papers in various national and international conferences and has publications in various reputed journals and proceedings. As far as her qualifications are concerned,she is the holder of MBA, M Com and M Phil degrees, is Net qualified and is pursuing her PhD. She is an extremely hardworking and persevering individual who works with high degree of energy, enthusiasm and motivation.
Having done her M.S (Applied Statistics) Ms. Trehan is an alumnus of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Purdue School of Science, IUPUI, Indianapolis, U.S.A.
She has also served as an adjunct professor for teaching IU undergraduates at the Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) for three years. Prior to joining M.S. she completed her MBA and a Master’s Degree from the prestigious Delhi School of Economics. Ms. Trehan has also served Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi as a visiting faculty. Her current interest area includes Mathematical and Applied Statistics, Multivariate Analysis, Issues in Business research besides multidisciplinary studies of culture, society, polity, and economy.
Ms. Aparna Sethi holds M. Phil and Dual Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and Marketing Management from Pune University. She is also pursuing PhD from Pune University. She started her career in marketing and sales gained hands on experience in direct and institutional sales, product promotions, training and recruitment. She worked with brands like Kinetic Engineering, Datapro Infoworld Ltd. before moving to academics. She has worked with reputed universities.
She has presented papers in National and International conferences and also contributed research papers in national journals. She has also published articles in newspapers and business magazines on subjects like Young Mangers, Work Life Balance and Gender inequality. She has conducted a number of executive development programmes for Army Officers, faculty development programmes at different institutions and skill development programmes for students of numerous B-Schools.
Dr. Shevata Singhal, Ph.D in Management; holds Masters in Personnel Management from University of Pune, Masters in Commerce and Masters in Philosophy. She has more than 10 years of experience in the area of teaching, research and training and academic administration. She has various national and international publications to her credit. Dr. Singhal has also presented papers in national and international conferences. Her last assignment was with IMS Engineering College, Ghaziabad. Her interest areas include Research, Statistics and HRM. Dr. Shevata is acknowledged for her interactive teaching approach.
B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Galgotia’s College of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida and MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, Ms. Swati has worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as an Assistant System Engineer for about 2.5 years handling junior level management roles.
Being an Oracle Certified Associate, she has also worked as a Trainer for important computer and project related applications. Ms. Swati has played an active role in coordinating various events at college as well as organization level. At Ansal Institute of Technology, she has taken up subjects such as Marketing Management, Management Information Systems & Basics of IT. She has also participated in international conferences and won a prize for best paper presentation.
Dr. Inderjit Kaur is Fellow of The National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad (an autonomous body under Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India). She has authored and presented number of research paper in reputed international and national journals. She has authored a text book on ‘Security Analysis and Portfolio Management’ with Galgotia Publications. She is SEBI Resource Person for Financial Literacy for Haryana state. Her subjects are Investment & Portfolio Management, Financial Modeling, Valuation, International Finance and Econometrics. The Research Interests are Portfolio evaluation, Currency Crisis.
Ms. Dahiya is B.Com, MBA, NET Qualified, pursuing Ph. D. She has a total experience of 6 plus years in teaching and institution building and undertook various prominent responsibilities other than teaching like Programme Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Management Representative (MR) for ISO Audits, Head of Admission Committee for BBA & MBA, and Organizer of various National level Events. Her core subject areas are Marketing (major) and Finance (minor). She has written research papers in various areas including Finance, Marketing and General Management and also presented papers in national & international conferences.
She initiated the process of ISO certification and prepared Institute Manual. Arranged various Industrial Visits, Guest Lectures and scheduled various academic and non-academic activities as Programme Coordinator, also she has supervised Summer Training and final projects of BBA and MBA students as Project Coordinator. Member of Management Association of Sonepat (MAS) affiliated to AIMA. As member of MAS, she organized business quizzes, conferences, seminars and various management contests for MAS. Organized various national level events like Quiz Competition for School Kids in association with Times of India (NIE – Newspaper in Education initiative), Inter-College Management Fests, AIMA’s National Students Management Quiz (NSMQ) regional round, “Leadership Talent Hunt” and also conducted 3 National level Seminars and Conferences.
Dr. Indu is a Ph.D. in English from Banasthali University, Rajasthan. Her Ph. D. work was on Thomas Hardy’s poetry. She has worked for over three years before joining Ansal University. She has published papers both nationally and internationally. She has been a recipient of various prizes and awards at state and national level in debating.She is NET and SLET qualified in English. Dr. Indu’s areas of interest include Literature, Business Communication, and Oral and Presentation Skills. She has taught both at the graduate and post-graduate level.
Ms. Arti Gandotra is Post-graduate in International Business from Institute of Management & Research from Bharati Vidyapeeth University and Physics Graduate from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Over a career span of five years, from Management Trainee to Assistant Professor.
