An interactive guest session was organized for MBA students Ms. Anshu Gupta – Image Consultant was guest speaker. She delivered a session on “Personal Branding” The focus of the session was importance of appearance in corporate world. She gave key insights ondressing is an Art, how to play with the patterns, colours, etc.

Co-Curricular committee of school of management studies organized The AD-MAD Show on February 18, 2016. Seven teams participated and were given imaginary products like tie, tablet, chewing gum etc. to prepare an advertisement for the same.

A block and tackle debate was organized for BBA, B.Com and B.Sc (HM&CT) students. Participants debated for 2 minutes some in favor and some against the topic. Participants were evaluated on the relevance of topic, ability to defend the arguments, intelligent use of points, persuasive skills and body language.

School of Management Studies, Ansal University Gurgaon organized a Conclave on “Real Estate and Infrastructure 2020on August 1, 2015 at its campus. This event provided a platform to Industry professionals, property channel partners, academicians and students to exchange their views on various areas related to dynamic global business environment in Real Estate and Infrastructure industry. The current and future trends in the industry were extensively discussed by the distinguished speakers, Mr. Pranav Ansal, Vice-Chairman, Ansal API & Trustee, Ansal University; Mr. Manish Motwani, Senior Director – PMS, DTZ; Mr. Gautam Karmakar, CEO (Corporate and Retail Leasing), Bestech; and Mr. Pradeep Panicker, Exec. Vice President, Delhi International Airports. The deliberations were followed by a presentation by the PRO & Associate Dean – International Relations, Ms. Sona Vikas on the various initiatives the University is taking in reducing the skills gaps in the real estate industry. Apart from several skill development programmes, the University is also offering a specialized two-year full-time MBA-Real Estate & Infrastructure Management in collaboration with Ansal API. The University has also launched an evening programme, M.Tech (Construction Technology & Management) for working professionals.


International Conference on Global Business, Innovation and Knowledge Management
Ansal University (AU), India & Valparaiso University (Valpo), USA jointly organized a two – day International Conference on Global Business, Innovation and Knowledge Management at Ansal University Campus, from February 11-12, 2016. During the Inaugural function on the first day of the Conference, Prof. Furqan Qamar, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities was the Chief Guest on the occasion who spoke about the historical perspectives of global business and how organizations have transformed over the decades. Present also were Prof. Jim Brodzinski, Conference Chair & Dean, CoB, Valparaiso University, USA, Prof. Jaishankar Raman, Assistant Provost for International Affairs, Valparaiso University, USA, Prof. Amarjeet Kaur Malhotra, Conference Chair & Dean, SMS, Ansal University. The Presidential address was delivered by Prof. Raj S Dhankar, Patron & Vice Chancellor, Ansal University who traced the journey of businesses across the world post-globalization, and how innovation and technology are impacting the way business is being conducted today. An edited book of conference proceedings published by Bloomsbury Publications, was released during the inaugural session by the Chief Guest, consisting of around 40 research papers received from various parts of the world. Two Panel Discussions was also conducted which deliberated on the contemporary practices in global businesses. Two Technical Sessions on the conference themes were organized thereafter, where the researchers presented their papers and shared their work. A cultural extravaganza was organized by the students, showcasing the Culture of India through a series of energetic and colourful performances.

Few selected students of MBA final year students went to Concentrix Daksh Services India Pvt Ltd on 14 August 2015 under a program called DRONA

Ad-mad contest was organized for BBA, B. Com (H) and (HMCT). There were eight teams. Each participating team was given a virtual product and 20 minutes to prepare for an advertisement of the same. Duration for presentation of advertisement was 3 minutes. Products given were like umbrella, energy drink, pain relief spray, room fresheners etc. Teams presented the ads in very humorous way with creative logos and brand names. Judgment was based on brand name, punch line, Concept of ad, ability to attract the audience and team work.

An Experience Sharing Session on Cross Culture Management was held in August for BBA III year students to understand the cultural differences in different countries.Ms. Lausanne Miller was the speaker for the session. She is born in Philippines and is pursuing her graduation under Public health in Vanderbilt University, Boston. She arrived in Delhi on the 24th August for a research on Public Health. The students interacted with her to understand the culture in Boston and Philippines and how it is different from India. The students mainly interacted on topics like education and family system, work life, bullying, gender differences, food habits, and her experience in India.

A Debate competition was held for MBA students to encourage students to share their views, face the audience, learn public speaking skills and enhance their self confidence.

There were six teams. Each participating team had four members. Two speaking for the motion and rest against the motion. Duration for debate for each team was 3 minutes. Some of the topics debated were as follows:
