Schools at AU orient new students towards their future career paths

'A Journey of thousand miles begins with the first step’. With this thought as the cornerstone, AU fraternity across schools extended a warm welcome to its newly inducted students by hosting an orientation programme. Spread over the months of June and July, 2015 respective schools of the University engaged with the students through various activities and bridge courses, whereby preparing them for their academic and professional life ahead.

Campus reverberates with activity at Annual Festival ‘Experia 2016'

The Annual Cultural Festival like every year created the fizz, frolic and festivity all around the campus in March, 2016. It gave students an opportunity for creative and cultural expression. A host of inter-collegiate events were organised as part of this festival, which witnessed a whole lot of participation from Colleges not only from NCR but from other States as well. The main attractions of the festival were rock show by famous band ‘Raftaar’ and ‘VH-1 Supersonic’.

Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy engages with graduating batches of AU

Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) and Parliamentary Affairs spoke on the role of education in increasing employability, need for skill enhancement amongst graduating students and government initiatives for skill development as a part of his address at AU’s First Convocation, organised on March 5, 2016. A total of 179 students were awarded degrees at both under-graduate and post-graduate level and meritorious students from each programme were honoured with gold medals for their exemplary academic performance.

Alumni congregate in large numbers to connect with their alma mater

AU invited alumni to the campus on December 23, 2015, to share developments at the University and request their continued involvement with the institution. The event was attended by over 500 alumni who are at various stages of their professional career, making a mark in the fields of architecture, design, engineering, management and many more. The most senior alumni from Sushant School of Art and Architecture, used this opportunity to announce the institution of a grant or chair towards encouraging research in ‘Organic and Sustainable Architecture’ as a tribute to the late Founder-Dean of the School, MM Rana.
