Delhi and its surrounding area is replete with historic buildings we call our ‘built heritage’. But, do all of these qualify as built heritage? How does one define built heritage? How do we describe and locate our heritage though histories and stories of buildings? Whose heritage is it? How do we take this forward? Delving into some of these questions, the three day workshop will introduce the participants from different disciplinary backgrounds to various ways of engaging with built heritage. The participants will get the opportunity to discuss these challenging issues, as they experience a part of the city with multiple tangible and intangible cultural layers. The participants will learn new skills and work in teams to develop approaches towards built heritage using their diverse skill sets.
